from drop down menu select the wall you want to edit (Siding-6, for example)

>Define

double-click on the fill for the main layer to open the Layer Fill Style dialogue

under Pattern and Type select >Solid

under Appearance, select desired color and transparency

>OK

Here's one solution.

Under Wall Type Definitions, move drywall layers to the Main Layer region.

Now temporary dimensions apply to the surface of your drywall.

Here's one solution.

In the wall specification dialogue, choose Wall Types, and then Define.

Move the drywall layers into the Main Layer region.

Now temporary dimensions will apply to drywall surfaces.
