  1. At first I had problems with the coursing of the block in rendering view. you have to ignore the instruction to include the thickness (1.5") of the plate and just call the stem wall 16" or you will get a 1.5" base course. This seems to be a workable solution to a problem i have been having for quite a while. It just requires erasing the line separating the 4" and 8" walls and drawing in the 20"x2" foam insulation under the slab. (In section view) Problem solved). Thanks.
  2. Actually it is 24" of insul. 4" vert. and 20" horiz. 2" thk.
  3. THANKS, I'LL TRY THAT. LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE TO ERASE THE LINE 4" DOWN BUT THATS NOT BAD. I TAKE IT THE BLUE IS THE SAND FILL. BUT I DO LIKE THE CLEAN FOUNDATION PLAN.
  4. This is how slab houses are built in the Mid-atlantic region. This was done by creating 3-d solids, one on top of another. It was a a pain to create, and leaves a lot of unnecessary linework on plan view. Why can't Chief create this condition as easily as it creates a crawl space. Or can it?
