I’m working on a roof design for an L-shaped floor plan, and I’m having trouble getting the intersection at the inside corner to align properly. One roof edge has a 1’ overhang, while the adjacent edge has a 2’ overhang. Because of the overhang difference, the fascia lines don’t meet cleanly at the intersection.
I’ve tried adjusting the ridge height of the 2’ overhang roof to bring the edges together, but the required height change is too small to make a stable connection—Chief Architect won’t register the adjustment properly due to the fine tolerance.
Is there a recommended way to handle roof intersections with different overhangs so they meet cleanly at inside corners?
