    Hello, I'm not in Dallas & I've been using Chief Architect, but maybe this will help in HD ... It really helped me to think of them as two separate houses sharing a wall. Decide which side you want to have the first floor at absolute zero and start with that half of the house. Then build out from there. I hope that helps if you can't find local help :)
