  1. HI,

I'm over on Gabriola and need some bootstrap help with a new build. I have Home Designer Pro 2024 but I'm short on time to get what I want for the basic design. I know what I want, just can't get the program with Autobuild make it. :-(

Anyway, if you have time for this sort of thing, let me know and what your rates are.

    cheers,

    Rob Cameron

Sorry Rob, Been away dealing a funeral and estate stuff. I can be reached at 250-898-7616. Likely too late, but I have a solid reason for not replying earlier.

  2. I'm starting a new house build and I used Home Designer for a project a few years back so I have some experience. Would really like to connect with local users who might be able to bootstrap my project! Yes, this would be a paying gig! Rob Cameron Gabriola Island/Vancouver

  4. Yes, the roof blocking layer is on. And "Happy Endings" is a bit of a running joke for the name, it is a retirement place. :-)
  5. Hi all, I'm new to HD and I've been muddling with a problem for the last two days with no success. Most things seem pretty intuitive along with the tutorials but I'm having an issue connecting walls to the roof (see 1 & 2) as well as being able to specify a 16" parallel chord roof truss for a cathedral ceiling/shed roof on the secondary suite connected to the main house (see 3, it only shows as what appears to be a 2x8 rafter). I've turned off "Flat ceiling over room" and set the finished ceiling height to 6 1/2' for the room as I want the ceiling to start rising with a 2:12 slope from the hip wall. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Anything I do seems to affect the design of the main house roof. Does this shed roof have to be manually built? I don't have any hair left to pull out! Thanks in advance. Rob Happy Endings.plan
