I have upgraded to chief architect.

Hi all,
I am currently in the process of designing a barndominium, but I am having issues with my ceiling heights. The eave needs to be 14' which means my exterior walls need to be 14'. Once I have done this, when I try to create a interior room with a 9/10' ceiling, the wall height automatically changes to 9 or 10' to that specific room and throws my roof all out of whack. Any way to combat this?
I am sure there is a way, but I am new at chief architect, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Raising Trusses
in General Q & A
Posted
Hi all,
Hope all is well. Just a general understanding of what i am trying to accomplish with what I am working on:
I have 14' sidewalls currently on a 6/12 pitch. The ceiling height is set at 120", but the client wants attic space and/or may add additional rooms upstairs down the road. I would like for my trusses to generate as if there were a second floor. (I've tried that still could not get it to work.) The trusses are currently sitting on top of the ceiling of my first floor (bottom chord). How do I accomplish this?
Basically I want an empty space above my first floor ceiling.
Thanks in advance.
