I have created a single story floorplan with basement that I was able to take to about 95% completion. I am seeking assistance in optimizing a very complex roof layout and also verifying that the floor joists over basement are adequate without needing to add support columns. I need help creating a roof plan. I have attached what I want my roof plan to resemble in an attached elevation drawing. I have also attached my floor layout and my perspective view layout. I created the roof with Auto roof. Roof pitch is 12:12 with a lower roof pitch of 4:12 on the front roof over the porch. The room wall heights will probably make a difference in determining roof. The Living area has 14' ceilings, the kitchen and dining have 10' ceilings and the rest are 9' ceilings. The entry hall will be open to the dormer above. This is a single story home.
