  1. I cannot figure out why these dimensions aren't getting centered on the line in my elevation view. It's very obnoxious. I've messed with every dimension setting I possibly can. Someone please help me out here. It can obviously fit perfectly fine in that segment with room to spare.
  2. I need help getting the new beta. It's the weekend so I can't contact Chief support, and I need to open a file from my architect that was created using X16. I have tried everything, from checking for updates, to redownloading the software, etc... My digital locker says that I have the most recent version (X15) and does not give me an option to update. For context, I am using an M2 Macbook Air, fully updated to Sonoma 14.5. My digital locker says that my SSA expires on June 14, 2024. I have no idea what's going on and why I can't update. Please help.
  3. Hello there fellow builders, architects and draftspersons! My name is Justin, and I am a young contractor managing a construction business with my father in Columbia, Missouri. Between the two of us, we have nearly 30 years of experience in the industry building anything from small decks to large commercial buildings. Over the past few years, we have narrowed our focus to the residential remodeling space, doing mostly high-end kitchens and bathrooms, along with building additions and full-scale home renovations. I am in search of a talented and dedicated professional to collaborate on residential remodeling projects. Our company is in big a growth phase, and we are looking to forge a partnership with someone who has a profound understanding and expertise in using Chief Architect, specifically the X15 version. We have been attempting to do this ourselves, but we just don't have the time nor the qualifications to create the level of detailed drawings that we would like to have. The role would involve creating detailed plans, drawings, renderings, and construction documentation for about 2-3 projects per month. These projects vary in size and scope, offering a dynamic and (hopefully) creatively fulfilling workload. As this is a crucial position within our business, we are looking for someone who is not only skilled in the technical aspects of design but who also values the art of transforming spaces and can bring a unique perspective to our team. **I would also like to note that we use an amazing LiDAR scanning technology called Canvas.io to generate native CA .plan files of as-built models, which speeds up the process greatly. Preferred Requirements: Profound knowledge and experience in Chief Architect, especially X15, as all our projects are designed within this platform. Based in the Midwest, ideally in Missouri (though not necessary). Proximity is key for us as it facilitates smoother communication and collaboration, especially across time zones and familiarity with building codes. A strong portfolio demonstrating experience with remodels, additions, and other residential applications. We value attention to detail and the ability to see the potential in every space. Ability to work independently but also fit into a collaborative team environment. Commitment to deadlines and a clear understanding of the importance of time management in a fast-paced project environment. We are excited about the opportunity to welcome a new member to our team who is passionate about making spaces beautiful, functional, and uniquely tailored to our clients' needs. If you are interested please respond to this thread, or better yet shoot me an email to justin@ovationhomesmo.com with your info, portfolio, maybe some references, and details about your experience with Chief Architect. Thank you!!
