  1. Thats what I figured, but can seem to find out what that is. Plan is too large to attach apparently
  2. Wondering if anyone's encountered this issue. When I have a camera view up, and I'm deleting an object, say removing a window, or taking out an appliance, doesn't seem to matter what the object or deletion is. When I do so the camera view immediately closes, and is get a pop-up asking if I'd like to save the file. If i select save, it saves and the entire program closes. If I hit cancel, i stay in working plan view. Can be annoying. Wondering if I'm giving it a command that I'm unaware when deleting things?
  3. ValleyGuy thats kinda of what i was thinking as my route. Appreciate it!
  4. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a way to limit board sizes to common lengths. When I report my material list and go to "buy list" CA has me apparently "buying" 2 - 73' 2x6 boards and a few 2x4 x 63' boards. This obviously is not a buy list since I can't buy those. Is there a way I can tell CA to only purchase lengths of no greater than 16'? I can do the math to break those longer lengths but wanted to know if limiting the board buy list to no greater than 16'
  5. I'm sure this is user error, but all the framing is populating in lengths. i.e. 100ft of 2x4 studs and not, 10 count of 2x4x10ft or 8 count of 2x4x8 etc. I went into plan materials to edit to count but i get an evaluation error. Answered my own question - cut list drop down menu in the upper left
  6. Kbird1 Thanks for that. Yes I am a builder as a background, and though I've been using CA for a few years now, I've been using it for interior remodeling and design, and just recently started using it for builds and additions so I'm having to expand my knowledge of the program clearly. Yes I was building it as i would in the real world, and didn't anticipate building floor 1 first. But this did work.... basically working from the 1st floor down. Appreciate the help.
  7. I haven't built the framing because I'm still trying to build the foundation and show that there are sill plates. New plan> Build>Floor>Build Foundation. Default foundation wall "including 11/2 sill plate. Then I draw said foundation wall. no sill plate. Literally have made no alterations
  8. Hi Everyone. About to throw in the towel here. Creating a new plan and even though sill plate box is checked, even though sill plate "display" is checked, no sill plate shows. Simple cmu stem wall, build > foundation, sill plates checked, drew my little foundation box. no sill plate. Does anybody know why, if all boxes for displaying sill plates are active, it wouldn't show sill plates? using x15
