Quick update... The auto stairwell would not work above the 2nd set of stairs because I had the word "Down" added to the stairwell on 2nd floor. As for my issue needing the sloped ceiling above the first set, I have tried using the ceiling plane tool, but when I look at the framing their is no change.

I was aware of the walls not lining up exactly, but was unaware of having to break the landing, thanks for the heads up. I lined the walls up and still get the error message. The other problem I have with the first floor stairs is head clearance on the first set of stairs and landing and so I am going to have to frame a sloped roof above that area in the field, which would offset some the closet wall on the second floor, to insure code compliance. I was hoping the Auto Stairwell tool would accomplish that task. Any thoughts on how to accomplish that? Brian

So I am trying to use the Auto Stairwell tool and getting the message "Could not connect new stairwell railings to some of the existing walls and railings..." I have read other posts on the forum about deleting the walls adjacent to the stairwell and trying again, but unfortunately it still is not working. I have attached the plan and I am specifically looking at the stairs from floor 1 to floor 2. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Brian Nano-3 new opposing shed roof.zip

Thanks for the response. You notice in your picture how the floor is still sitting up 16" in the basement. What seemed to be causing the problem was that the stick framed wall was not set to have the floor hanging inside. Once I went and changed all foundation walls to have the floor framing hanging inside that issue went away. So, it is not exactly how I want the foundation built, but easy enough to adjust in the field. If anyone knows of a work around so that the floor framing would actually bare on the top plate of the stick framed foundation walls I am all ears. Brian

I have just started laying out a new house and want to hang the first floor framing inside the foundation walls. I was able to to make that happen but as soon as I started adding interior walls the floor elevations get all messed up. I have attached a zip file with the plan and a cross sectional view to show you what is going on. What I am trying to achieve: The settings are:stem wall: 145.5" including sill plateFirst floor Truss 16" + 3/4" subfloor to be hung inside the foundation wall. When I look at the doll house framing it looks correct. However, when I take a cross-section view that is not what I have. I have the following:stem wall: 13' 6.25"and the software raises the floor up 16"How do I correct this? Have reached out to Tech Support, but so far they have not been able to provide a solution. When I use the CA Build Framing function it keeps adding these beams under the interior walls and for the life of me I can not find out why. This how it should look But when I let CA build framing this is what I get This is the floor above Sorry I cannot upload my design as it exceeds the maximum file size. Anyone have any ideas?
