Hopefully these views will give a little more detail. The problem is with the height of the double top plate/framing. Ideally you can make out the shed/single plane roof now as well as the bump out. X15

Somewhat newer to CA and looking for how to resolve this issue where a bump out wall under a shed roof is terminating well below the room height. Any guidance is appreciated.
