    I have no idea if this is helpful to anyone.  But as a builder that lays out his own projects, it's a huge time saver.
     
    It can be done with as few as 3 macros. This is a CAD layer view with a simple polyline rectangle.  Real application I would send a house plan footprint or CAD detail from view to CAD, cut and paste it into a saved "DMS Detail" then start dropping my Notes on points.  You have to set up your Notes and add some custom fields to attach the macros, but it's pretty cut and dry.
    There's an Azimuth or Bearing macro, which are redundant if you don't care about NSEW.  There's an X and Y macro (not displayed) if you need to know your grid locations pertinent to Chief.  Holler if you need help setting up Notes.
