Using Chief Architect X14
I need to add a deck to the front of a house I am drawing. It is an existing structure that needs some modifications. On the front of the house you go down 6 steps to the main door. The deck outside then has 6 steps down to ground level. This is a house on piers, so first floor is actually "the basement", but it's all above grade.
If I draw the deck on the first floor, it sits at ground level, if I draw it on second floor, it builds it at the top of the door, which is main floor level. How can I set the height of the deck to meet the bottom of the door?
Also, there is a roof above the deck that must be supported, so I will need to run post to beam rail on the front, but once again the height will need to be adjusted.
