Job Description
We treat each one of our houses as if it was our own and we are committed to constructing the finest built homes in the most attractive locations. We’re looking for a highly skilled draftsman to draw plans for custom and spec homes. Our ideal candidate will be excited about design and creative ideas while bringing an experienced approach to our planning and design process.
Objectives
· Collaborate with customers and design team to develop appropriate drawings for each project
· Consistently providing creative and innovative feedback about the planning and design process
· Understand key design aspects and consistently produce high-quality blueprints for each project
Responsibilities
· Follow specifications to create various technical drawings
· Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work on a digital platform
· Communicate with customers and design team incorporating knowledge gained into drawings
· Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations
· Identify and communicate potential design problems
· Quarterly proposal of the new floorplan to be incorporated into standard offerings
· Regular meetings and timely communication with clients
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Experience in a Design and Drafting platform like CAD or a similar program
· Ability to work well in a team and on your own
· Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude
· Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
· Ability to meet deadlines
· Passion for housing and innovative design
Preferred Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Degree from technical College
· Desire to grow professionally with ongoing education
Ability to draw manually favorable, but not essential
