The edit layout lines tool is magic. Thank you so much! I was looking for something exactly that simple.

It looks like there is an invisible wall below that roof. It could be that your ceiling height of the porch is too high. If you attach your plan file, I can "guess and check" with the settings and tell you how I fixed it. 

Is there a way to remove these lines in a live plot line view? Or stop them from generating? I know I can simply CAD to detail and delete the lines manually, but this would not be good when I make future changes to the drawing. The "line view" live drawing somewhat solves the problem, but the lines get pixelated when you zoom in and it's not as clean. Thank you for your help!

Ryan, you make a great point about the garden window. This window would meet that category as it is not framed out like Chief has it.

Hi Robert, I created a similar condition with a blank plan. Same principles apply. I just want to get a 3rd window above the bay window on the same floor. Thank you.

Transom above bay window.plan

Hello and thank you for looking into a simpler solution for my dilemma. It does not seem to be possible to put a transom window above a bay window. Chief creates a gap in the wall where it is impossible to place a window above. I've come up with 2 possible workarounds. #1 Put the transom window on the 2nd floor and adjust the height so it appears on the first floor in 3D. This makes the floor plan confusing and ruins the window schedule. #2. Convert the bay window to a symbol. Place a "pass-through" in the opening. This is what I did in the attached floor plan. The problem here is that once the bay window is a symbol, it cannot be modified later. There must be a simpler way to have a transom window above a bay window. I'm on Chief Architect Premier X14.
