  1. Thanks @DBCooper, I get it that there is probably something off in my heights, but everything matches the architect's plans. Turning the layer off in the camera works perfectly, thanks so much! I can't believe I didn't think of that, I've been fighting with trying to correct it for way to many hours!
  2. Hi, first off thanks to anyone taking time to review this. I am working on a house plan where the front part of the house the finished ceiling height is 8'7" and the back living/kitchen area is 10'3". There is an exterior deck above the living room/kitchen at the back of the house. There is framing showing up below the ceiling of the living room. Is there anyway to get rid of this? Images are attached, I can't attached the file as it exceeds the limit. Using Chief Architect Interiors V 14. Also, the build plans are coming from an architect so it's more important for me that the framing isn't showing in the 3D and that the ceiling heights are correct for the kitchen elevations. Thanks so much, Julie
  3. @rgardnerthanks! I totally get what you mean with a custom material, makes sense.
  4. I started reading this thread because I'm having a similar issue, but the suggest "exploded" feature won't help me. The reason I need to apply a backsplash and not apply the material directly is to run different tiles, for instance right now I am trying to do 3 tiles high of subway and then a thin stripe of black tile. On the side walls I have no issues making backsplash, but on the back wall I need a 1/2 wall that creates a ledge and then the tile continues up. If I use a 1/2 wall I can't apply backsplash to the wall behind it. So then I tried using a poly line solid to build the 1/2 wall which allows me to tile the top 1/2 but I still can't add the tile properly to the solid. Any thoughts on solutions for this? Using Chief Architect Interiors X14 Thanks so much to anyone taking the time to read/respond! Julie
