  1. So I totally agree, as a user of CA from version 8 untill x12 until I then just switched over to Home Designer Pro since I am not an architect and more of a designer/planner I wish I knew 2025 was going to be the last year I could just buy it because I would've upgraded then and never again. Sad to know they gave in to the ideology of "you will own nothing and you will be happy." I've upgraded for the last time in 2021 it looks like it. Anyone know if I even have the option to upgrade to H.D.Pro 2025 and not 2026?
  2. I know this has been talked about a ton but I’m working on some buildings for my property and in 2 minutes just did a simple prompt to Make these night time renders look more realistic and ChatGPT did it first try. I’m sure I could tweak them and add landscaping and such but the before and after is amazing ** Used to use CF but now just using Home Designer Pro 2021. Works great for just doing this as a fun hobby.
  3. It opens but says I’m only allowed to view. However I was easily able to do it myself from the YouTube video you made. Thanks again!
  4. @Mark3D That was extremely fun to watch and also very informative! My apologies for not thinking to share what version I'm using. The last Chief version I used was X14 but then that computer kicked the bucket one day and I couldn't find my key info so I actually went about 6 years without using Chief at all. Then I bought my current house and missed this as a hobby so I purchased the cheaper Home Designer Pro 2021 since I just use this as a hobby. I opened your plan and I can only view it and not actually modify it. But with the video I should be able to use that video to copy what you did into my plan. Just have to say I appreciate it more than you know. In today's world there's not a lot of people willing to selflessly help people out without expecting something in return. Thanks so much =)
  5. @SteveNovatoI greatly appreciate it! It looks like Mark was able to get it sorted right after you posted this @Mark3D oh man! That’s awesome! Thank you so much I greatly appreciate you both helping me with this. That’s very selfless to take the time to do so. I tried for hours but gave up. I’m so excited to keep going now that you helped me get it! - Dustin
  6. I think I figured out a way to share without uploading here, I uploaded them to Google Drive The main layout file is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oReuC470Wmq75DqFNvFbkiIVEuw7Zns7/view?usp=drive_link But here's a file where all the other buildings have been deleted to make it just the basic house, then I would just copy and paste it into my bigger file https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Porkmezp-UVJeX13lDC8wcKgHnnA2uGU/view?usp=drive_link Main folder location: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1u52qGsEYlzEV0X_OZ4m8at5-rCHACKuU?usp=sharing Thank you and anyone that can help, I'm stuck =/
  7. This is for my own home, I'm not an architect but have been using Chief for personal uses since Chief 8! I just suck with complicated roofs. It looks simple, just a long gable on one side. It's all just for exterior renderings so the inside doesn't really matter much. I'm not sure how I can upload a file if anyone can help but I've tried for hours and just can't seem to make it match. If you look at the real picture, it's as simple as it looks in the photo, just a full gable where one side goes all the way down to the first floor on the right. Same roof style on the back as well, 4 / 12 pitch. Thanks if anyone can help.
