  1. Chief X13 - I wanted to create an Plumbing Plan View just like I have a mechanical and Electrical view. In project browser I right clicked on Elec Plan view and selected duplicate. I figured this was like Copy so I renamed it to Plumbing View and went to work on my plan. When I finished I clicked back to the Electrical Plan and oops, it had all the changes I made to the new plan view and my electrical work was lost. Clearly I went about this the wrong way and I still don't fully understand how the plan view layer sets work. Can anyone clear this up for me? UPDATE: Now it looks like all my plan views are mixed up or overlapping.
  2. Hey guys, using X13. I am making an AsBuilt for an Addition we did last Fall. We added a first and second story room and joined the second story room to the attic of the home. The addition has a flat roof. There is also a 5" step down from the room to the existing attic floor. We are now going to finish the attic and turn the new room into a bedroom. Having trouble with the appearance of the intersect of the second story walls with the existing roof. Can't seem to figure out how to cover the exposed ends of the wall which happen to be exposed both on an angle and upside down. I have tried poly line, soffit, pieces sized to cover the exposed bottom plate (it's not actually exposed cause the wall lands on the roof) but I can't figure out how to rotate the piece on the vertical plane. I also tried custom dormer using a poly line rectangle but the option to Cut Hole in Roof was grayed out. I will deal with the floor difference once I figure out these exposed corners. Thanks in advance, Exterior.dwg Exteriorview.pdf Wall End.pdf
