As per the Nyc code they have only given the definition of an access stairs . Does anyone could tell me what is the minimum width I can go for an access stairs in a residential building connecting mezzanine to the first floor inside ? Or should refer the means of egress to find out the dimension. But access stairs is different from egress stairs . It would be great if anyone could help me to find out .
