One examples is I'm trying to apply a tile pattern to a wall and rather than duplicating the screen shot it stretches the image to the size of the material region.

Yes and it only discusses ray tracing.

How do I maintain the aspect ratio of a screen capture when applying the material to the model?

Went to View/Active Layer Display Options, under layer sets selected All Layers ON and the ceiling is still not there in the two bedrooms and upper bath.

Thank you, though I'm not sure how you are seeing the ceilings in those bedrooms and I am still not.

I go to View/Active Layer Display Options and Ceiling Planes is checked.

Those settings are as you have shown them above. I have attached the file here. I'm new to CA and self taught, forgive my ignorance here. I've gotten the vaulted ceilings to show in the adjacent machinery room but as you can see they don't show in the bedrooms. Pole Barn.plan

It is on & vaulted ceilings in adjacent rooms are on. Under Tools, Layer settings, Display Options it is also turned on. example.pdf

I have created a vaulted ceiling, I can see from the wall angle that it has vaulted but the ceiling surface isn't showing up. What am I doing wrong here?
