Wow thanks Dennis, I just finished importing 1 into the plan, then came back here to post my solution and saw you'd already replied. I was under the impression that working on a mac made it really difficult to import skp's, then I found out that all you need to do is export it from Sketchup as a 3D model in .dae format and voila, there it is.
Thanks again for the speedy reply. I'm going to post another question shortly about how to make curved glass shop windows, been driving me nuts all day.
