  1. I can do that, but it's not what I'm looking for. I am specifically looking for Bullets and columns. If I paste it from Word, I loose all the formatting. I think the notes option will work for me. I am just checking it out now. The CA text editor has a huge disadvantage over the text editor in ACAD. Its' a minor setback and I've spent way too much time trying different things.

Thanks for letting me know about the Notes, much appreciated.

  2. I have looked though quite a lot of the Q & A's but couldn't find an answer to my problem.

I've seen others with the same problem but didn't find a solution.

(for example) I am trying to create notes that would consist of 3 columns with bullets that go 1 to 14.First I discovered there isn't the ability to create columns in the text editor provided with Chief, at least not that I could figure out.

I have tried manually creating the 3 text boxes but then bullets start over with the number 1.

    Can someone tell me:

    1. Can the text editor provided with Chief allow for columns.

    2. If not, how do I change the bullet numbers to start where I need them to.

    3. Is there a way to go past the number 9. Once I reach 9 the next number is 0 and it starts over again.

I've been using AutoCAD since the 80's and this text editor is not very good when it comes to this. I have also tried creating the notes in Word and coping them into the text editor but then I loose the columns and the bullets just turn into basic numbers. Is there a way to choose which text editor change be used.
