Is there a way to create a 3D symbol of the building. I was wondering if you could fill me in on how to do this. I need to put 2 different house plans on a large lot. There are 26 houses in total on this site.

General Notes, text, columns and Numbered Bullets
Patriciax1 replied to Patriciax1's topic in General Q & A
I can do that, but it's not what I'm looking for. I am specifically looking for Bullets and columns. If I paste it from Word, I loose all the formatting. I think the notes option will work for me. I am just checking it out now. The CA text editor has a huge disadvantage over the text editor in ACAD. Its' a minor setback and I've spent way too much time trying different things. Thanks for letting me know about the Notes, much appreciated. -
General Notes, text, columns and Numbered Bullets

This is typical for most of the drawings I do. I did notice that there is a notes schedule but wasn't sure how that worked for something like this. I will have other pages with numbered notes as well. Can you tell me how to start using the notes schedule (what command)? -

Is there a way to import the text you do in AutoCAD to Chief. I still have Acad, but I'm trying to steer away from it. I have to do a couple of pages of specifications that take up a whole sheet. UGH -
General Notes, text, columns and Numbered Bullets

Well the text and columns sounded like it would work, it doesn't. Unfortunately the text just goes straight across the grid. I haven't had to manually type text like that in years. I love CA, but this sucks. -
General Notes, text, columns and Numbered Bullets

Life Saver....Thank you, I will try that, I think that might work for me. -
I have looked though quite a lot of the Q & A's but couldn't find an answer to my problem. I've seen others with the same problem but didn't find a solution. (for example) I am trying to create notes that would consist of 3 columns with bullets that go 1 to 14.First I discovered there isn't the ability to create columns in the text editor provided with Chief, at least not that I could figure out. I have tried manually creating the 3 text boxes but then bullets start over with the number 1. Can someone tell me: 1. Can the text editor provided with Chief allow for columns. 2. If not, how do I change the bullet numbers to start where I need them to. 3. Is there a way to go past the number 9. Once I reach 9 the next number is 0 and it starts over again. I've been using AutoCAD since the 80's and this text editor is not very good when it comes to this. I have also tried creating the notes in Word and coping them into the text editor but then I loose the columns and the bullets just turn into basic numbers. Is there a way to choose which text editor change be used.

I have no idea where to put the information in for that kind of floor. I have tried several things but I'm obviously missing something.

Yes, that is what I am trying to get but with an ICF wall.

Its just a term for Pressure Treated wood

Can anyone tell me how the create a foundation with a wood floor joist system. The floor joist will sit on a pwf 2x4 (flat) sitting on the footing with the rim joist fastened to the ICF wall.
