  1. Thanks, yes, it's the worst experience, especially when you are a new designer. On the "up" side though, I bet she'll never forget to "save" frequently in future! One of those REALLY tough lessons learned.
  2. yes, did that first. Even checked to make sure she hadn't accidentally switched floors. She's fairly new to this industry, so she's finding out that sometimes, sleep isn't an option. I've also told her to make sure auto save is on in future...I'm thinking it hasn't been.
  3. Already checked the archive, it wasn't there. Thanks anyway!
  4. My co-worker is desperately re-drawing an entire project so I'm writing on her behalf to see if there's a solution. Her system "crashed" and when she re-opened the drawing, the cabinets were gone. Dimensions and notes are still there, but no cabinets. I've tried everything I can think of to find a way to "get them back" but no luck so far. It happened to me years ago in an older version, but I can't remember what I did to solve it. Can anyone help? She needs to have the drawings finished for a 9 am meeting tomorrow.
  5. Definitely 30" box, 4 1/2" toe kick, 1 1/4 counter = 35 3/4" total height. Sorry Joe, those can't be changed However, thanks Markmc for pointing out my math error...that's what happens when I pull all-nighters. I double checked with my cabinet maker...7/8 instead of 15/16...and it works! I think I've got it licked now, thanks to everyone for your help! Sometimes it just takes another perspective to be able to see more clearly.
  6. Is there any way to specify drawer/door front dimensions in the cabinet specifications? I'm using x14, which finally shows door and drawer front heights & widths, but doesn't allow you to set those. I've adjusted item heights, separation heights, even used blank areas to "fudge" the results but I can't get all the fronts to the sizes my cabinet maker uses. 30" cabinet box, frameless construction. I need 5 15/16", 11 15/16, 11 15/16 with 1/8" reveal between fronts. I can get 2 out of 3 drawer fronts right, but nothing I've tried will allow me to get the 3rd one right. Any suggestions?
  7. I'm struggling with this too. I'm using x14, which finally shows front heights, but doesn't allow you to set that. I've adjusted opening heights, separation heights, even used blank areas but I can't get all the fronts to the sizes my cabinet maker uses. 30" cabinet box, frameless construction. I need 5 15/16", 11 15/16, 11 15/16 with 1/8" reveal between fronts. I can get 2 out of 3 drawer fronts right, but nothing I've tried will allow me to get the 3rd one right. Any suggestions?
  8. Sorry, no. I just gave up and started over with a new plan. Deleted the old one. Had to meet a deadline.
  9. I deleted a cabinet schedule, but the cabinet label numbers remained. Now when I try to create a new schedule, I get two labels on each cabinet. Any suggestions for a "fix"?
  10. I'm in the middle of a kitchen design, and suddenly the page went blank and it had switched to floor plan view shell. I tried to go back to floor plan view dimensioned, but it's completely blank I can still get orthographic views, but the plan view has disappeared. Can anyone help me?
  11. Yup, that fixed it. Seems strange though...technical view should show technical details...like door swing. Thanks!
  12. Thanks for helping me with this. I couldn't find an answer in "Help". Attached is a plan, and a picture of the elevation (just in case it "works" for you). I'm using Chief Architect Premier 12. opening indicators.plan
  13. It's checked in layer display options, and its set at "point to hinge side" in preferences/Architectural. Is there somewhere else I need to look?
