How to make furniture visible on elevation view
Floriance replied to Floriance's topic in General Q & A
Actually, I did so that with the layer painter tool I selected all the furniture and set them to Plant-layer because for some reason plants were always visible. I think this is certainly a good and the best way to do, but I got the wanted result after all. Later I changed them back to their own correct layer. -

I think my plan file is too large to post. I tried to do it. I'm sure it is not about the software but something that I'm doing wrong. I noticed an interesting thing. If I will switch off plants, they will anyway be shown in the section view. And when I changed the sofa to plant layer, it was visible on section view after that -
How to make furniture visible on elevation view

I went Tools - Layer Settings - Display Options. But I cannot see any result even if I will turn all layers on. If I will select a section view layer set and turn on there all I want, it anyway won't change. I still cannot see the furniture. An interesting nuance is, that the kitchen furnishing I can see all the time. -
Hi! I have a small problem with an elevation view. I should get the furniture visible there but I don't know how to do it. Is there some trick I should know?

Yes, that worked good. Thanks!

When I will try to add it as a photo into the surface of the ceiling, what happens? My outdoor background picture changes to that ceiling tile but nothing changes with the ceiling itself. Photo editing itself is not a problem. I have an Affinity designer and -photo.

Thanks! Seems that it is maybe not possible in my (student) version. Some material adjustments are not possible to handle.

Is it somehow possible to import own patterns or pictures for the ceiling instead of using libraries? I wanted to use that attached style ceiling surface, but is it possible, and how? Forgot to mention. Chief Architect Premier 2021.

Seems that I first posted in the wrong forum. Most likely I have a simple problem now, but no idea how to solve it. I have a couple of carpets on my furniture layout. The problem is that on 2d view they look to be on top of other furniture. 3d view shows everything correct. I would like carpets to be under the furniture also on the 2d view. How to solve this?

Today I have another problem to solve too. With furnishing, I am working on Working Plan View. But for some other purposes, I switched to Floor Plan View Dimensioned. But I noticed I still have some pieces of furniture visible while other ones are not. What should I do to make those few also out of this Plan View? I can move away or delete, naturally. But They just should be on the same level/view of other furniture. At the moment those few ones are visible on every Plan View.

Excellent! Thanks for the video explanation. Now it's easy. Tested twice and works like a dream. Many thanks.

A-haa, ok. Interesting way, but it seems to be simple after all. Thanks!

Yes! I did like this: File, Sent to Layout, then those selections look to be like yours, and I changed the scale to 1:50. Result: The whole everything will be at 1:50. And it is not what I am searching for. Are there some selections or something that I need to do before changing the scale?

Thanks! I went through that, but the problem is that whole everything will be on a large scale. I need to take out that one room only, and present it in the same layout with a different scale. See the screenshot. Now everything was in 1:50.
