We have a design for our family home, a couple years in the making, that is nearing completion. (using homedesigner pro 2018) We would like to build next spring so getting a set of construction drawings early would be advantageous. Trouble is i don't have the time nor the patience to figure out how to get something a professional can understand clearly when looking at a set of plans.
Also, some expertise in finalizing the exterior would be appreciated.
We have talked to our local draftsman and he basically told us that he would have to start from a blank file (because the programs aren't compatible) and copy our design manually in order for him to create a set of construction documents. This means the cost he would charge is the same as someone who came to him with something drawn on a napkin.
Ideally it would be nice to forward our design to someone with some professional knowledge to correct any errors in our design, provide suggestions for the exterior design and make it print ready.
Thanks
