Hello all, I am trying to create a barrel vault roof dormer. I've attached the file here. I have created a hole in the roof, and placed the window in a wall which I made invisible because when I left the wall visible, I could not curve the top of the wall leading to it sticking out of the top of the roof. I made the dormer room from two curved roofs joined in the middle. Now, the inside of this dormer is not correct. The structure is exposed. I created a polyline object to try to cover up some of the exposed roofing structure, but this has limitations due to the slope of the roof. There must be a better way to do this and I would love to get everyone's thoughts. architecture firm in Columbia, SC Using version X15. Ok, that is good to hear. My coworkers have less memory and are a driver behind and aren't having an issue so at least it is good that It isn't my computer.

I don't believe Macs support Shader Models and they have a separate identity... It is possibly the GUP? When I look at my Mac System Info and go under the graphics/displays it says: Supported, Metal GPUFamily macOS 2. I checked on chief and it says the minimum requirement is: GPUFamily2 v1 for a Mac. So I think I am ok in that area

Yes, it says it supports the requiremnt

I have been experincing freezing every time I try to create any type of perspective view, camera angle or elevation in my project. All the other features work but as soon as I use a view tool the project is paused and I get the Mac spinning wheel and am unable to do anything on the project, making me have to force quit chief. I had other problems arrive this week prior which were fixed by updating my Mac to the newest driver and switching computers in my office to one with more memory. I checked my computer's information which I included in this message. I also followed the chief guide relating to camera views but it did not solve the issue, along with restarting my computer, removing the duel monitor and quitting out of the program. Any ideas of what I can do to fix this issue? Thanks!

Hello! I am on X13, and I need to create a 1% sloped deck. What is the best strategy here? I saw people using both ramps and roof planes. The file is too big to attach but I've attached a picture of the elevation here with a red square around the section I need to slope.

Hello! I just recently converted to Chief Architect X13. I am trying to export a Layout File to PDF. Every time I do it removes the textures from my elevations. It also does not show the texture while it is in the layout view and sometimes in the plan view. I have tried to resave, send the view to layout again, change line weights, etc, and I just can't figure it out. I am attaching the resulting PDF and the plan file. FYI to reduce file size for the forum I removed all interior walls and electric from the plans. Clemson CA Forum.plan Pages from 4626 Clemson CDs 9.16.pdf

Hello Thank you all for the help. I've actually went to the forum here and found another video that is easier. It's this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/s0jr5nggtmqkeyy/SpiralStairWorkAround.mp4?dl=0 However I am stuck once again. I've created the custom stairs but cannot seem to figure out how to make railings for it. I've followed step by step and my railings don't look anything like the ones in the video. Anyone know how I can make spiral railings to match my staircase. Thank you once again

Hello I am trying to create a custom spiral staircase for a project. So far I've been using this youtube video as reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KCIlFOebAk . However his program in the video is X7 and I'm using Chief Architect Premier X12. There has been parts that I couldn't do because of that. Does anyone have a better solution to creating custom spiral staircases? Thank you

I have a small room on a second story cantilevered over the 1st floor. When I go to place windows in the wall on the 1st story, the wall automaticallty breaks and will cover part of the window. See picture below (Window on left is the issue).
