HI! I am trying to place the house onto the site which I drew using CAD lines to trace an image of the plot. I am trying to position the house between some trees. When I use the footprint tool, other things show up and it all seems to be connected- i would like to be able to rotate the house independently of the site, but it all wants to stay in line. If i try to select the elements, then the gray selection box covers the house and I can't see where the house is in relation to the trees and setback.

Is there a way to get welding symbols or should I just make a cad block myself?

I recently downloaded chief architect x12 and the first time i used it the library worked fine. But now the standard browsers do not show up when i open the library box and nothing comes up when i search for something, although if i hold the cursor over the search box a dialog appears that says there are items returned from the search.

I can't seem to get the floor height to stay at 0". If interior walls are connected, it automatically adjusts to -112". Is there some default setting I'm not getting correct? Attached is the plan.

Some of my walls are displaying in 3D and some are not. When I add a roof, the roof seems to rest on the foundation. I checked that the ceiling height for every room is correct. Can anyone tell me what might be going on?
