You are correct. I want to have a flat ridge on this house. That was my assumption that 2 pitches would be needed. 6/12 and a 5/12 would hopefully get me a 6' ish horizontal ridge I don't know how to make that happen.

Thanks It is not so much about the ridge vent itself. It is re-pitching the roof planes to be able to put one on. I can't figure out how to get it done Steven Roof Plane.pdf
