  1. Thanks for some clues, I will try the suggestions.

Looks like %scale% and zoom are linked

    In the PLAN view

Print size is set to ISO A4

    Undo zoom

Gives scale 123/128m = 500m, close but should be 1 ? as scale set to 1:500

    However not always consistent

    61/64m = 500m

    25/32m = 500m

    etc

    Using Chief Architect Premier X13

  2. Setting the label to "specified text"  - %scale%

gives a dynamic scale based on the screen image size  not of the drawing image

Is there a setting to fix this to actual scale, rather than these strange factions ?

Scale of drawings set to 500m = 1m

Are there any METRIC scale bars for 1:500 and 1:100 ?

    Thanks

  3. I think the problem is the CA (X13) is showing only the rain screen studding not the main wall studs

Removing the rain screen then no external wall studding is displayed, internal wall studding is display OK

However creating a new external wall type, the problem is solved,

Had odd problems like this before, it appears that making changes does not always change everything and CA has some hidden settings

  4. The skylight is 114cm x 118cm  and enlarging a standard size skylight causes the raised box.

There are custom ceilings, floors and walls as this is an ECO bungalow, so 200mm of insulation in walls and roof.

    Thanks for your help

  5. Adding a sky light to a hipped end roof 22.5 degree slop, the skylight appears as a box on top of the roof  in the 3D Perspective overview.

The Second floor (rather than attic as staircase needed) is in the roof with the ceiling being the roof.

I rather not have to redraw the whole plan again to try and fix this error,

    Thanks
