I have used Chief since the beginning but just updated to 10. Have been at 6 for years with the economy stuck. Anyway, I create a foundation from a first floor and it puts my dimensions over my brick not frame. I give the foundation print to my post tension engineer and it confuses him so have to give him first floor plan instead. It should be a footing, a monolithic slab sitting in the middle of the footing with frame on edge of monolithic slab and brick to footing. I got that set up but can’t measure to frame on foundation prints.
