Chief has many short tutorials in the KnowledgeBase ( KB ) and there is one on Barrel Vaults, so that maybe a good point to start........

there are several Videos too under Ceilings....

As for Tray Ceilings if you are using Invisible Walls as maybe needed I think from looking at your Pic it is usually best to use the Old Polyline Solid Method vs Chief's Automatic Trey Ceilings which do not play well with Invisible Walls.

Everyone here appreciates it when new members complete their signature with some basic info including their version of Chief. Makes it easy to locate, always available, and gets you the best answers.

You can add that info, and more like Windows or Mac computer to your signature by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

    Thanks

Thank you. I have changed my signature.

I am an interior designer doing a kitchen remodel and only drawing this room.  I am struggling to draw a curved ceiling and tray ceiling as shown in the attached picture.  I thought I did it correctly but when I try to put wood paneling on the curved ceiling only, the whole ceiling changes to wood and that is not what I want.  Any suggestions on how to draw the curved ceiling would be appreciated.  I have search Q&A here and the help videos.

Thanks for your help in advance!

  4. I am going to upgrade my computer and am considering going to a Macbook Pro.  I've never been a Mac user but use an iPhone and iPad.  I am concerned with the learning curve, especially drawing with a different kind of mouse.  Any advice on whether making the switch is worth it to switch to Mac (learning curve time and more money)?

    I'm looking at

    Macbook Pro 2.9GHz quad-core 7th gen Intel Core I7 processor, Turbo Boost to 3.9GHz, 16GB 2133 MHZ LPDDR3 memory, 1TB SSD storage Radeon Pro 560 w/ 4GB memory ($3199)

    versus

    Dell Mobil Precision 7520 laptop Window 10 Pro 64 bit, Intel Core i7-7820HQ (quad core 2.9GHz, 3.9GHz Turbo, 8MB 35W), 16GB 2667MHz DDR4 Non-ECC SDRAM, 1TB M.2 PCI3 Solid State Drive, NVIDIA Quadro M1200 w/ 4 GB GDDR5 w/ ProSupport 3 yr warranty ($2753.80)

I am not a computer person so what I've type above I really don't understand but have been recommended by a local computer company.  Thanks for any advice!
