Hi everybody. That's me again I'm trying to achieve this kind of traditional roof structure. having reduced trusses with beam sitting on it and then rafters. (hope you will understand what i mean ) . No ideas.... As I said , i think i have messed the wall material . But you are right, when i click on theses diagonal wood pieces , it's written "plate". One strange was also that i could not add doors to theses interior walls...

If I copy / paste to a new plan , everything is ok. I'm pretty sure i have changed or edit some settings i shouldn't .... Not sure to want to spend a lot of time on finding it

I'm working on it , it seems i have messed with material . I'm trying to purge new material or edited material. Because when i start a new plan , it's working correctly. That's why also you can not reproduct the error. I think that when you open the file , it load the default library which is woking on your computer and has been altered on mine. Just a guess .. Ps: Sorry for my poor english

Really strange , I have ask my friend to open it on its version X9 on windows. And it's working perfectly. I have tried a new plan and it's working also on mac. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program , the same. Do you know how i could reset all preferences on my mac when deleting ? So i could start with a fresh install. Maybe i have installed another program or library that creates this problem on my mac

thank you dhall , i have the same settings. This is strange , if I set the wall to "furred wall' it disappears. If I move these to "exterior" , this plate disappears. It only affects interior walls.

Hi everybody , I think i gave checked a wrong option somewhere or misconfigured a wall. I'm trying to remove the diagonal blocking on the framing without success. (see picture attached ) It happens only on interior walls. Any clue ? Thank you

Hi everybody , I have a vertical wood siding on a house. In order to install it , i need a set of vertical studs 16OC , then a set of horizontal studs 24OC , and then the wood siding (vertical). Is there a way to see the horizontal studs ? Also , can these studs go through floor platform , from bottom to roof ? Hope i'm clear enough. Here a picture similar to what i'd like to get . Thank you for all your information. The strange thing is that the 2nd floor has been created "automaticaly" using the 1st as reference. Both. What i can say : - Foundation and 1st Floor wall are aligned. On the right everything is ok but not on left. - On the 2nd Floor , everything is ok. I'm looking all options and trying several things ... All walls are using the same type of wall . maybe I have customized one of them . I'm trying to set all them with default type. (Sorry for my english .. i'm french )

Hi Chopsaw , thank you for your help. Now i can see the Floor sheeting Also the upper wall is aligned with the platform but the walls of the 1st Floor are still "inside". They are using the same wall type. Any clue ?

Hi everybody , I have a 2 floors house. The platform generated between the 2 floors seems larger than the wall. Also i have a gap between the platform and the bottom of the walls which are on the 2nd floor. Hope you can help me solve my problem. My version of chief architect is X8 on mac os x. Thank you
