Hello, I am fairly new to CA, and still very much so learning my way around.
I have recently run into a situation where I want to frame a wall on top of a beam to close in a funky (and maybe that's my problem) gable wall that hangs out in the middle of a floor below, and ultimately will need to be built on a beam... one of my main concerns is making sure that in the end, the way that it has to be built in reality, is represented in the materials take-off post-design.
Currently I have the beam draw in as a ceiling beam no problem...just need to create framing above it to hang a ledger board on for the lower roof, and some siding.
