I would like to have my reference grid print on one page of my Layout set. I toggle it on and can see it in layout but it doesn't print. I am using X9

This garage roof where the dormer is going runs on the same plane as the adjacent 1 story house therefore the roof for the house is drawn on the first floor plan. In order to put the manual dormer in the roof above the garage do I have to draw the garage roof on the second floor plan by matching ridge height and pitch and abutting the two roofs or is there a better way?

I am using x9. I am adding a dormer to a room over a garage but the roof was drawn on the first floor plan. Dormer is being drawn on the second floor plan.

I have drawn my exterior walls to define dormer location, snapped a rectangular polyline including those walls. Went to convert polyline to "Hole in Roof" but that option was grayed out so I could not select it. Q. What do I do to make that option available to me? Thank you

I am designing a room over a garage with a dormer. I had the roof defined over the 1st floor. Added a second floor. Added knee walls for the dormer on the 2nd floor. Added the dormer and then wanted to select the new room on the 2nd floor and I cannot select it to open it to further define the space. I can select the space within the knee walls but not the main room. What should I do?
