I am a novice CA user. Last time I use it was at least few years ago in remodeling an old 2-story house. Now I am trying to add a 2-story detached garage addition to that old plan. I have built the foundation and walls for the garage's first floor. But when I try to add the 2nd floor to the garage, it always adds another floor to the existing house. I don't want any change to the existing house, just the garage only but I can't figure out how to do it. Is there any way that I can 'lock' the existing house floor plan so any change will only affect the garage?
