I am as depicted above. However it's easiest to relay the problem with a vector camera.

Unfortunately as soon as I release my mouse from rotating up it flips to the way it is in my image. Extremely frustrating.Thank you for your assistance thus far.

Which two profiles? I'm use core catalog CA-42. When you say one turned 90 degrees how are you accomplishing this? transform/rotate/90/relative?
I haven't done molding for awhile but i used to never have an issue with this. I even tried to copy and past something like this from another plan I did and I get an cannot some items were not copied message. I'm using Primer x9.

Hello,
I'm attempting to create a custom kitchen door. I've done this many times before but for some reason today I cannot create my glass door grills.
I draw out my poly lines then select them and right click convert poly line to 3D molding and select my molding and size. When I click done Chief creates the horizontal moldings correctly and the vertical moldings are pointing in the wrong direction. I have played with transform options etc.. I cannot get the molding to face the same direction. If i create horizontal moldings and rotate them to vertical they switch directions when they re-render. Then they will switch again if I rotate them back. This is extremely frustrating. Having the poly lines or molding intersect with other objects makes no different. Opening a new plan with no other plans open creates no difference. Moving to another work station isn't an option.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening and or what i can do to get my desired object?
Thank you very much for all your assistance in advance.

I'm unfamiliar with view you posted above showing the top down view. When you said elevation I assumed you were meaning wall elevation camera.
I found the tutorial of which i learned how to do this many years ago so this is the approach I'm using:
