Thanks Mick, hopefully this will take care of it.

Thanks, at least I know it's not just me. I'm hoping one of our experts will know how to solve this, if not I will send it to tech.

I just upgraded to X10 so this is probably a setting I must change. I tried the default settings and preferences and searched the tutorial and online for help, but didn't find what I need. I do not want my temporary dimensions to pick up the interior walls when I place my cursor on an exterior wall. Can anyone direct me to the setting I should use?

I created several cabinets I use regularly, but for just standard base and wall I use the CA offering. Thanks, Sally

Thanks to all for your input, especially Mark. I have my plan completed and it turned out great. Nice to know there are people who know this program better than me and are willing to take the time to help. Sally

I've posted the plan. I am using Premier X9, sorry I meant to mention that in my initial post. My company uses Merillat cabinetry exclusively and since Merillat is one of the manufacturers it works very well for me. I looked for an Accessories tab in the default settings to set the panel, but did not see it in the main list or in the cabinet listing. Am I looking in the wrong place? I did change the default material, but it made no difference. Is it because I am using a manufacturers cabinet? Thanks for all the help. I may be missing something here or it could be a glitch. If anyone else has an answer I would appreciate your help. I've changed the default cabinet prior to beginning my plan (below Cabinet Default 1), however the old default is still showing when I choose a material (below Cabinet Default). Also when I place a side panel the panel is the old default (below Cabinet Default 2). How do I remove the old default? I put the screen shots below showing the set up.

Excellent! You guys really are the best! Thanks so much. Sally

This may be something quite simple, unless you don't know the answer. I've attached a snapshot of the issue, so I won't go into a lot of detail. I need to attach an angled wall 4 inches from the end of a straight wall, however it keeps making the straight wall mitered unless I attach it a foot from the end. What button do I push to prevent the straight wall from being mitered? Thanks for all the help this site provides. Sally

I also had the problem with mutins once I had my window designed. http://www.chiefarch...om-Muntins.html This link was the best help to add mutins to a special design window. My window turned out perfect. Thank you everyone!

I will admit to being a newbie. I am using CA Premier X6. I have to render a home plan that shows a diamond shaped window. I have been trying to figure out how to create this window. I've attached a copy of the CAD elevation. Any help will be appreciated. Cape plan.pdf
