Thanks! Yes, trying to include dimension from edge of stairs to interior wall. I'll try the point-to-point dimension tool and see if that works!

I'm trying to add Interior Dimensions to my floorplan to help in placement of items (ie. staircase). Tried the manual dimension function but when I click on it and draw the line it's not giving me a dimension. Followed directions in the user manual and still no luck. It was working at one point but not now. When it did work it was showing the dimension from the interior point to the edge of outside wall. I want it to show the dimension it from the interior point to the interior edge of the outside wall. Any suggestions?

Thanks again for all your help. Called the help desk today. We wound up copying/creating a concrete wall and specifying the exact measurement I needed for my plan.

chopsaw. Not exactly sure how to do this. I need to show those exact measurements for an assignment (31'6" x 30' with 1' exterior walls).

Thanks for those detailed steps. I went thru the steps and surfaces was already checked. Dimensions still not adding up.

showing total thickness is 12" also here is another image of floor plan showing where measurements are going to It's missing 1 7/8" on all overall interior dimensions

I am having an issue with my measurements adding up. Set outside measurement including wall 31'6" Exterior walls are set to 1' Interior measurement should be 29'6" but instead it's showing as 29' 7/8" I've tried everything to get the correct inside measurement but not luck Any suggestions?
