Foundation! thanks I didn't think about that as it was an existing structure and we are not changing the foundation. That makes perfect sense The garage door isn't for a garage, its a warehouse the deck on level one is a loading dock.

I have decks on level 1 and on level 2, one over the other. The plan view and 3Ds are all displaying correctly. However when I open the framing set both decks are displaying on level 1. The Barn.zip

I did a little house keeping on my PC because it was getting full. Now Chief Architect is loading and about a minute after it loads it shuts itself off (closes the program) before I can do any work. Has anyone else had this problem? I only have one copy and need to get my work done. All my other programs are running fine from what I can tell so I unloaded Cheif and reloaded but I still have the issue.

I figured it was something simple like that I was missing, Thanks.

I'm putting together a layout and want to add an electrical set with dimension. Is there a way to draw the dimensions as electrical dimension so I don't have to change the layer set manually, seems like there should be. I have wasted a lot of time layering dimensions and would love if someone has a trick to save me time. I'm running X10

The horse stall behind the stairs has a shelf ceiling. the first solution I found was I to make the walls full height, which was not what I wanted in the design. not sure why but the problem seemed to be connected to the shelf ceiling.

The lower staircase, when I open that one the ceiling becomes unfinished.

Trying to create a rough draft for a client doing a barn to home conversion. The garage in the basement. I'm trying to place a set of stairs in the basement to the main level, under the stairs to the upper level. the problem is every time I create the stairwell opening I lose my ceiling on the main floor. Can anyone help me figure out why? Oxford St.zip
