  1. Hi Erika,

Your portfolio is impressive!  I recently lost my design assistant who used to help finish my designs so I could send them to clients.  After I completed the space planning and custom cabinetry designs, she would add the backsplash, lighting, accessories, extra furnishings, set up the 3-d views on layout and then create all the cabinet elevations, schedules, etc for quoting by our Millshop.  Attached is one small rendering which shows the level of detail we give our high-end clients (who all have high end taste!)  Does this sound like something you can help with?

I just upgraded X14 but I can still work in X13 if needed.  Thanks.  www.jwhdesigns.com  Instagram:  @jwhdesigns

  2. We are a well-established kitchen design and construction company in Rye, NY.  We have been doing award-winning projects for over 20 years. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented design assistant to join our team.  The key role is to help the principal designer create beautiful 3-d renderings in Chief Architect for our clients, and then turn them into detailed plans and elevations for our field crews.  All our cabinetry is built in our own millshop so knowledge of custom cabinetry and interior design is required.

Employee must be located near Rye, NY for interactions with our team, clients and our field crews.  Some remote work might be possible once fully established.

Salary $60-$75K plus benefits.  Thanks!  Jennifer Howard

Looks like you have a fixtures schedule. If you don't need the schedule you can just delete it. However, if you need it and don't want to see them go to fixtures label in layers and turn off display. alternative is to open schedule dbx and under label, uncheck show as callout.

Hi, thank you so much!, but actually the layer was turned off already! and it seems that we don't have any other active fixture schedule, anyway, we find out that we just have this issue  with this file, so is not that important anymore, thank you so much!

  5. Seems like a simple (and stupid question), but my library browser is not showing up!  It was working fine until I did some fast clicking and managed to accidentally rearrange my toolbar.  The library browser icon is showing, and whether I check or uncheck it, I still can't see where it is.  The Active Display Options are open on my side screen, which I can continue to turn on/off.

I tried the Help topic and checked preferences.  No luck.  Clearly frustrated when working on a Sunday and I don't have access to the library.  Please help!  Thanks.  Jennifer

  6. I have 4 licenses of X7 Interiors in my office.  There are some features of Premier that would be an improvement, but most of the framing, exterior we don't need so I don't want to upgrade all 4 licenses.

If we upgrade just one or two licenses to Premier, are the drawings still compatible with Interiors?  Advice would be much appreciated!  Jennifer

  7. We are a custom cabinetry and construction company in Rye, NY (25 miles north of NYC.)  We are looking to hire an experienced Chief designer for high end cabinetry design, from initial field measurements and input, detailed layouts and elevations, electrical plans and tile details.  We design mostly Kitchens and Baths, but we also design and build whole-house projects from concept to completion.  Candidate must be fully proficient in Chief (we are using X6 Interiors) and detail-oriented--accuracy is key!  Creativity in actual design is a bonus, but the Chief expertise and understanding of cabinetry construction is more critical.

This would be a full time staff position in our Showroom.  Salary $40K-$50K to start, plus benefits, and QUICK growth potential for the right person.  We are hoping this will be a long term position with our growing company.

Please email resume, availability, and any questions:  (no calls please)
