Thanks for the advice. It's somewhat lost on me as I am not sure that is the problem. I attempted that, but it appears to be local to the roof planes - as far as I can tell.

I recently used the Reverse Plan feature in Chief and got a strange anomaly with the roof. On one of the ridges (that runs front to back of the house, the roof lines appear to extend past the ridge. I almost appear as though the ridge cap is upside down. I can't seem to find a way to fix this. Hoping someone can take a look. I need to create renderings for an MLS listing. Thanks! Thank you. Hmmm, I see how the joist direction indicator works - but it's not updating the direction of the actual 3D framing...

Another newbie question here. I am working on the framing for a project. Using Auto Framing, Chief put the floor joists on my main floor in the wrong direction. Is there a way to auto rotate the joist set? Thanks! - Mike

Hello, I am having trouble with one room on the attached design. It is BR. 2 at the front of the house. The floor bumps down into the basement space below. I can't seem to find the setting that allows me to control the floor height for that one particular room. Hey folks, I could use a hand. I've been working on this single story ranch design and have been producing renderings for pre-sale MLS listings. Just learned that we have the opportunity for a walk-out basement in addition to some changes to the floor plan. The problem I am having is that all though (I believe) I have a an enclosed room for the Family Room off the Kitchen, I can't seem to get Chief to recognize it as a Room now. It has a vaulted ceiling. I had to adjust the roof at the back wall (where the slider is located). Proud that I was able to get the roof built, but I can't get the Gable (at the slider) Wall to fill up to the Roof. I've drawn it in the attic with (what I think are the appropriate characteristics checked. But it's not filling. Thank you for helping me through this learning curve. Any help would be appreciated! I do have 8 years experience in remodeling homes using Softplan, but just got tossed into the Chief mix for new construction. I can now focus on some MLS renderings for Monday and then get back to the architecture details. You all saved my skin as I just picked up the software a couple days ago. So much appreciated and am very pleased that there is a talented community behind the forum. No doubt I'll be running into other dilemmas as I come up to speed. - Mike

Thank you. I posted the plan and the elevations view. Let me add them here again. I am in a situation where I am less concerned about the detail, but need to get renderings to a client. I simply can't seem to get the back wall to behave, in addition to the proper pitches. I would be happy to compensate someone to help me solve the problem. Hey folks, I am a new Chief X9 Premier user and have begun so under a very tight deadline. I am required to produce some renderings of a new home by early next week. It is a rather simple and straight forward ranch style, single story. For the life of me, I cannot get the roof build to cooperate. I am sure the problem in inexperience with the software as I just picked it up. Would any seasoned veterans be interested in taking a look at my plan? I can provide an elevations drawing that outlines the specifications of the roof. Attached is my first floor and foundation and an image of the elevations.
