  1. Yes, that is one of the spots. Thank you. I'll give that a go. This is an as-built and I only have the number of steps and landings as I have drawn to make it to the second floor. I've not been able to get the stairs and walls to show correctly.

Unfortunately the plan is too large to upload and I don't know how to reduce the size to 25MB or below.

    Thanks again.

  2. Created an As Built using defaults and only after completion realize the 1st floor is not correct.

It should be several inches lower and my attempts to fix have resulted in error messages, dead ends and confusion.

    Drawing defaults are:

    1st floor: Relative Rough ceiling 109 1/8, Absolute Floor Above 121 3/4

2nd floor: Relative Rough ceiling 97 1/8 and so finish ceiling is close enough to what I actually have in the house on the 2nd floor.

    The actual house info:

Slab foundation, finish floor to finish ceiling is 95.5", 1st level finish floor to 2nd level finish floor 106.5, 1st floor to garage floor is a 5.5" drop.

QUESTION: How to change the whole 1st floor to match what I actually have? As mentioned room by room change is not working or not making sense.

When I change the finished ceiling heights to what I have on the 1st floor the "Floor above" is auto calculated too high. 3"+ larger than is actual measured.

    Thanks for any help,

    Chris

  3. Since I'm new to this forum I did not know anyone replied to my post until today. Thank you for your replies and forum tips. I'll try to be a little more clear.

I've got a U shape stair and I'm trying to add to the landing another run of stair up to the 2nd floor. When I attempt to do this the stairs are drawn on the first floor up instead of from the landing up. I'll send a file that somewhat replicates my situation. From the landing I'd like to make a L shape with 3 steps up, landing and then the rest of the way.
