Good morning Ken, I completely agree, but it is how I was told to draw it... I'm sure there will be edits to correct it later.

Good morning, I am continuing work on previously posted plan. I am adding doors to my walls that are interior-4 lowers and glass upper sections. However, when I add the doorway, even though it is in the interior 4 section of the wall, it is making the thickness of the jamb to fit the glass upper wall. I've tried adjusting heights of the door and wall sections and adjusting the values of the jamb but nothing has resolved this. Plan is attached, doors are off the bathroom on the first floor. Thanks in advance! Marsha Talsky rebuild 3-24-17.plan

Good morning, Client wants a cathedral ceiling with the interior framed wall stopping at 78" high, but with glass walls above this level to the ceiling. I figured out how to get the program to create them but what do I change on the floor plan to get the framed thickness of the wall to show? It is only showing the glass thickness currently. I have attached the file. First floor level, by the E4 marker is a camera titled "half wall issue" the wall it is showing is the issue. Thank you in advance, Marsha Talsky rebuild 3-24-17.plan

Yes Eric! Your last image is exactly what I am looking for! I got the insulation to line up but the floor platform is cutting through them. Like the very first image you posted. I will keep digging to see if I can get the program to work with me. @Jere Johnson, yes... it seems odd to me as well, but it is how I was directed to draw it so it's what I'm going to do. Thank you to both of you for your help. I may have to just add in a detail from CAD and call it a day.

Good afternoon, I am working on rebuilding this plan to create construction documents from it. We are using 8" SIPs with 1" of exterior rigid insulation for the main floor walls and 10" concrete foundation walls with 6" exterior rigid insulation. How do I get these to line up so that the outside of the rigid insulation from the two wall types are flush? Dimensions are to go to the exterior of the concrete and SIPs. But I can adjust the dimensions manually if needed. Also, there is a space for the sill plate between the foundation wall and floor platform, but it is showing a gap. How do I resolve this? I have attached the plan file and any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Marsha Talsky_rebuild_3-24-17.plan

Thank you, I will try that.

Good morning, I have a 2/12 pitch cathedral ceiling with a 3.5/12 pitch roof above. The client wants exposed ceiling truss/beams similar to picture attached. I have found the roof and ceiling beam option but don't see an option to pitch the ceiling beam or to change the pitch of the roof beam. I was thinking change the roof pitch to 2, build the beam and then change roof back to 3.5 but am wondering if there is an easier option? Thanks in advance, Marsha

Thank you for your response. I just opened it on my personal laptop and it's not doing it. It's not even showing them as corner windows. I'll work with it some and see if it will do it again. Thanks again.

I'm using Premier X8 on a Mac When I add a lintel to the corner windows it adds a weird casing trim to the right of the right window, but not the window to the left of the corner. If I remove the lintel, it disappears but I need the lintel. If I recess it to the sheathing layer, which is really where it needs to be, the lintel doesn't extend from the sides. And the funky trim is still there, just hidden in the stone layer. My plan is too big to attach here. So I have attached images, the left image shows the funky trim piece it is adding. The right image, I have recessed the windows to the sheathing layer and you can see the sill sticking out of the stone to the right of the window. Thank you in advance!

I did play with the layers in the wall definitions. The foundation walls could have the rigid insulation as exterior layers. I also moved the OSB for the SIPs out of the main layer (despite these are part of the SIP and not separate). No change, I still have a gap where the sill plate should be.

Possibly Richard, Did you find a solution? I had the foundation wall with a stone layer in place of the stucco and it still did the same thing. The heights of my walls are lining up correctly in the section view. And where the concrete floor meets the SIP walls are fine, just the areas that have the mudsill is where the gap occurs.

Good evening, I am working on this plan and am having issues with the sill plate. In the framing plan, it is showing it sticking out from under the flooring platform, not under it. On the exterior view, it is leaving a gap between the foundation walls and the first floor walls. The first floor walls are SIPs with the core lined up with the core of the foundation wall. I have attached pictures of what it is doing and the file itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Sill plate issue.plan
