Figured it out! Edit-Snap Settings-Angle Snaps.
-
All of the sudden when I draw walls or turn objects, they are not automatically snapping into place 'straight' (or at 0 or 90 degree angles). Every wall I draw I have to perfectly place so it is straight or click to 'fix off angle wall'. I updated to X15 but that was a month or so ago and this just started happening.

GOT IT THANK YOU!!

Thank you! Do you have any advice on how to import the texutres and DAE together? I downloaded the textures folder onto my computer, but still uploads the file white.
-
I use CA X13 and Lumion, usually I export the DAE and import into Lumion no problem. I recently got a new laptop that I downloaded CA on so I could work on the go, but I kept Lumion on my desktop. Now, when I export my DAE from my laptop and open it on my desktop in Lumion EVERYTHING IS WHITE. I’ve tried transferring it through email, Google drive, one drive, USB, and I’ve also tried a DWG file instead. The DWG transferred the color but not textures. PLEASE HELP! Do I have to have Lumion on the same computer for the file to stay ’intact’?

I am looking for help or ideas on how to achieve an accent wall with trim in CA Premiere. I have attached a picture, any help is appreciated!

I ended up doing that and it works just fine! Hard to get it lined up perfect but that's what I needed. Thank you!

That's a good idea, kind of a way to cheat it for a rendering.

Here it is.. its a little bizarre because the outsides of the home are going to be shipping containers. Thank you! Steve Darcy House.plan

I cannot figure out how to create a wall just in the top half to cover the stairs. This is in a tiny home and they are trying to maximize their space. The picture attached should clarify what I am trying to do.

I am trying to figure out how to get rid of the left part of this wall, and change the right side to drywall, without getting rid of the wall because it is needed on the outside obviously. It also has to be shingles on the top (outside) and drywall on the bottom right (inside).

No I forgot about those! I will check them out, thank you!

Does anyone have a set of elevations completely done that they wouldn't mind sharing with me? I am trying to improve on the construction document side and not just the design aspect. My email is hello@torgyshomedesign.com Thank you!

THANK YOU so much Eric! I appreciate all this help and advice so much.

I have both options unchecked at the vaulted ceiling still follows the roof pitch instead of the scissor trusses. Any other ideas? I feel like it has to be something with the end truss. I cannot get that truss to take the same shape at the scissor trusses. The interior wall is following the truss line as you can see in the third picture I attached, but the exterior wall is not.

I have attached it as a reply. I don't know if it notifies you.

It is a mess now from me clicking every button trying to figure it out, but hopefully it will help you help me Eklund Shop.plan

Here is one more picture. I made the wall in the attic and the roof vibrant to show the difference in pitch.

I am trying to build a shop that will have scissor truss framing and 12ft walls. I want the downstairs to have 8ft ceilings, and have the 'attic' space have vaulted ceilings with whatever head space is left over. Just enough space for some storage. I have the framing how I want it, but when I go to the rendering of the inside the ceiling will not follow the trusses. Instead the ceiling is following the roof pitch and ignoring the trusses. I have attached two pictures to show the framing, and then how the ceiling is following the pitch instead of the truss. Any help is appreciated!

Yes the terrain is on the main floor, and Dermots advice worked. Thank you!

THANK YOU! That was it! I knew it had to be something that simple.

I used terrain elevation region to create my hillside if that is what you are referring to. I also have the 'hide terrain' box checked for my general terrain. I am not sure which part is unclear, but I am trying to figure out how to hide the terrain in the basement since the hillside is going through the interior as well. Please let me know if another picture would help you help me, It is very much appreciated!

I am doing my first walkout basement and I have the terrain exactly how I want it, but I cannot figure out how to keep the terrain out of the house. In the real world the hillside would obviously be dug out where the house is going to go so it has to be an easy fix on Chief Architect that I am missing. Any advice is appreciated!

I have been trying for DAYS to figure out how to do a roof like the picture attached and I cannot get it. I don't know how to make the wall heights different on the front and back of the building and get the roof to connect to the walls. I would greatly appreciate any help! Murphy Garage Plan roof .pdf
