In this bird's-eye view, we took the floor out of the attic spaces so you could peek through to see the floor below.

I like to imagine the family dog and kids running laps around the circular passageway upstairs. Of course, if that sounds unappealing, some doors could be removed from the design so it is customized for other lifestyles.
