Component Code - do you use ?

Architectural Objects (Doors, Windows, Walls, Appliances, Fixtures, Furniture, etc) all have a Component List and one of the fields is "Code".

This field can be edited and displayed in the Schedule (if there is one) as well as in user macros.

Do you use the Component Code?

If yes, what do you use it for?

Can you think of a logical use?

I use it to bring odd bits of information into the label, as it is the only column in the component dialog box that can be accessed with a macro, and displayed in the label.

I've always wondered while this is the only column accessible by macro.

Me too. ;):(

I also wonder why the Manufacturer's Catalogs don't have the Model Numbers already in that field.
