Sending Elevation View to Layout.. Always B&W

When I send an Elevation View to my Layout set, it always come in as black and white, then prints really CRAPPY to PDF?

 

Any Ideas?  I can't seem to find in the menu structure any options to eliminate that.

are you sending them life or with with plot checked, life makes the lines look big

A few things that come to mind…

Are you accidentally sending to layout as an image?

Do you have it set to print in color in the print dialog box?

Are colors toggled on in your layout?

How exactly do I toggle the colors on and off. Can't seem to find it?

^{Found it.  Colors were on in my Layout.  I don't believe that I am sending to Plan via image.}

My layouts are always in color, what matters is that you use plot lines, and use a special layer-set with all the line-weights you want to use. like walls set them to 40 in that layerset and they will be thicker, also do it with windows doors, etc. Your elevations will pop. Using any other method will not get you the line-weights you need. Live doesn't use special layer-set line-weights, you can set. Print in grayscale to get no color and it prints good
