Sending out plans as a PDF

I'm new to Chief. I'm using X-8

 

Is there a way to send out the plans in a PDF format. Most of the contractors an printer want the plans in a PDF format.

 

In AutoCAD I use the print command then change the default printer to PDF then hit O.K, then choose a file

name to sent it as.

 

I do not see that option in the print command or the export command for Chief.

There is a pdf print within Chief, when you select the print you should be able to pick that one and then set the paper size you want to print, I am not at my computer with Chief on it but I do this all the time to send to clients and lumber yard, it works flawlessly

Print the layouts to PDF. Similar to auto cad.

Set your layout sheet (or select template) for the sixe you want and then print the

layout sheet settting the PDF printer to match the layout sheet.  I do mostly

11x17 landscape and it works great.
