You can open plans created in Room Planner in our desktop software for Windows and Mac (Chief Architect and Home Designer). You can also run the desktop software on mobile computers such as a laptop or Microsoft Surface (system requirements permitting). You can use a Bluetooth laser distance meter with the desktop software for capturing as-built floor plans. If you would like to pass on your thoughts about running Room Planner on a full operating system you can send and email to us at suggestions@chiefarchitect.com We would be interested in learning more about why you are interested in running Room Planner on Windows and how you would envision using Room Planner on a device like a surface as apposed to a mobile device running android or iOS.
